Rats

Rats tend to live in attics, walls, under porches and other hard to reach places. Their tendency to chew can lead to property damage and electrical fires. They can range in size from 12” – 18” long and range in color from light brown to black. Due to rats’ instinctively cautious attitude toward new things in their environments, traditional traps and bait do not always work to rid the home. Rats require professional pest control right away as they carry diseases and are known to bite.

Mice

House mice are a very common pest for homeowners. They can enter the house through a hole as small as a nickel and multiply quickly. Mice can bring fleas, mites, ticks, and lice into the home and their urine can cause allergies in children. Full grown mice are usually about 3 inches long and are gray with a white belly. The first sign of house mice tends to be mice droppings. If you suspect you may have mice in your home, look for gnaw marks, damaged food goods and burrows, in dark and undisturbed places.
